Secularism 2.0

Secularism needs a reboot: A separation between State and Science.

Separating Church and State was not merely for the protection of the state, but also for the protection of the parishioners against political viruses overtaking the moral programming of the host. The state imports no values onto the citizen: only executive functioning. Consequently, agents of the state impose on religious bodies a separation of authority and influence that they themselves do not uphold.

In general, there are two types of authority: executive and intellectual. An institution (state, church, medical board, university) will bestow executive authority unto its recipients. Intellectual authority however is not conferred, rather is only implied.

Today, with the neutering of religious institutions and the triumph of the state, the state now seeks to override the authority of newly emerging competitors to their monopoly of influence: the medical and scientific institutions. We must protect the scientifically naive citizens from the influence of scientifically-unvetted and unlicensed elected officials who seek to usurp the influence and authority conferred upon licensed experts in our scientific and medical institutions which are recognized conventionally by the public.

Do you want to know why only Republican religious zealots and self-anointed but unqualified Libertarians fall for the Republican propaganda which undermines the scientific rigor of medical experts? Why Americans despise expertise as “authoritarian elitists”? Because these political parties – the agents of the state – have long since overtaken the executive functioning of the hosts. The political and religious realities of Republican/Libertarian citizens have ceased to function separately. The host can no longer function independent of the new genetic programming. It is no coincidence that expertise is under assault by a singular political party.
